Job summary

The Iowa Veterans Home (IVH) seeks an Accounting Support Technician in the Admissions Office. You will compile and verify information across systems to support the Daily Morning Report and reconcile resident days with VA reimbursements.

You will also handle resident trust accounts, long-term care insurance invoices, and related correspondence. Excellent communication and customer service are essential as you coordinate with funeral homes, process admissions-related mail, and ensure accurate

Qualifications

• One year of full-time work experience in processing financial data within established systems and procedures.
• Thirty semester hours of accounting or business coursework equals one year of experience.

Responsibilities

• Compile, maintain and verify information across multiple systems for the Daily Morning Report.
• Reconcile resident days of care and submit invoices to VA for reimbursement.
• Process resident trust account closures and long-term care insurance invoices.
• Process resident business mail.
• Contact funeral homes to arrange services and distribute information internally and to outside agencies.
• Communicate effectively, resolve problems and provide excellent customer service.
