Job summary

The Iowa Veterans Home is seeking temporary Resident Aides to assist on the unit. This non-merit, temporary position starts at $13.02 per hour, with typical hours 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm, totaling 30 hours in a pay period and every other weekend.

As a Resident Aide, you will help residents by changing sheets, making beds, refilling water, refilling treatment bucket, and putting away clean laundry. Duties also include passing meal trays and supporting residents with activities.

Job description

This is a non-merit, temporary position. Positions in this class are exempt from the screening and referral requirements of the Iowa Department of Administrative Services - Human Resources Enterprise.

This position starts at $13.02 per hour.
