Assists in administering assigned retirement benefit plan(s). Monitors and resolves issues related to associate plan deductions and payments. Responsible for weekly 401(k) wire.

Our flexible/ hybrid work schedule includes 3 in-person days at one of our core locations and 2 remote days. Our core office locations include Salisbury, NC, Chicago, IL, Quincy, MA, Carlisle, PA, Scarborough, ME, Hyattsville, MD and Mauldin, SC.

Responsibilities
  • Assists manager in verifying assigned retirement benefit plan participant eligibility, contributions, and payments. Communicates information to appropriate parties to ensure smooth plan operations.
  • Monitors plan contributions to ensure accuracy and compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Works with external vendor to resolve associate plan issues. Serves as plan contact for associates transferring between banners. Builds and maintains strong working relationships with associates and vendor.
  • Assists with benefit plan change implementation efforts, coordinating assigned activities and deliverables.
  • Provides coordination for yearend plan activities, which may include identifying qualified plan highly compensated associates, nondiscrimination testing, loan defaults, and updating limits.
  • Serves as resource for annual plan audits. Assists with providing information needed for the preparation of annual reports and regulatory filings.
  • Generates associate communications at termination and retirement.
  • Provides plan support and training to Associate Relations Managers, as needed. Conducts corporate orientations related to retirement benefit plan.
  • Administers monthly loan billing for 401(k) Plan. Determines loans to be defaulted and ensures timely processing through external vendor.
  • Provides backup for Retirement Plan Administrator (Cash Balance) and Benefits Plan Administrator (401(k)).
  • Additional job duties may be assigned as needed to meet the needs of the business and support our Values.
Requirements
  • High School education or equivalent.
  • Proficiency in accurate and timely administration of retirement plans.
  • 2-3 years' experience in administrative function.
  • Competent in MS Office software.
  • Associate degree in HR-related area.
  • HR systems knowledge.

ME/NC/PA/SC Salary Range: $20.43 - $30.63

IL/MA/MD/NY Salary Range: $23.50 - $35.25
