Job description

Primary Purpose: Provide regional leadership, technical assistance, and staff development to ESC‑2 clients in the area of services related to state and federal academic accountability, assessment, and data analysis for school improvement.

Experience
  • Facilitate groups in a way that builds capacity in the areas of Accountability and Assessment.
  • Design, develop, and deliver staff development/technical expertise.
  • Serve as a liaison between clients and state and federal agencies
  • Deliver products/services in a timely manner.
  • Evaluate program effectiveness
  • Guide internal staff capacity in the areas of Accountability and Assessment
  • Provide technical expertise to districts/campuses in responding to Accountability and Assessment related questions
  • Guide clients in complying with state and federal accountability requirements. Maintain effective communication with the Texas Education Agency and other local partners
  • Ability to work collaboratively and individually on assigned tasks
Special Knowledge And Skills
  • Demonstrated interpersonal skills.
  • Experience in facilitating groups.
  • Knowledge or experience in working with State and Federal Accountability, to include RDA.
  • Knowledge of and experience in adult learning and planning appropriate staff development for adults.
  • Demonstrate effective job-related skills that model effective integration of technology.
  • Experience working with online tools, such as Cambium, & the Analytic Portal.
  • Demonstrated understanding of state assessments and their requirements.
  • District or Campus Testing Coordinator experience required.
  • Demonstrated skill in analyzing assessment results that will drive school improvement
  • Proficiency with standard functions with electronic applications on both mobile and traditional devices (e.g., word processing, spreadsheets, G Suite, Apps) and email.
  • Proficiency with computers (PCs and/or MACs) to include desktop management, file management and operations, and working in a network environment.
  • Exceptions to these requirements will be considered based on exemplary skills, training, and record of success.
Major Responsibilities And Duties

  • Provides professional development, coaching, technical assistance, and resources to districts in Region 2 for the purpose of increasing student achievement through assessment and accountability services.
  • Develop and provide content-rich learning opportunities through a variety of learning modes including but not limited to webinars, blended learning, face-to-face, and web-based technologies
  • Facilitate groups in a way that builds capacity in the areas of Accountability and Assessment

Program Management
  • Provide oversight and coordination of assigned projects ensure efficient and effective workflow to maximize use of funds
  • Coordinate and facilitate meetings to support LEAs
  • Oversee internal information support services and federal programs staff to ensure priorities and project activities are met
  • Assume responsibility for the planning, implementation, and evaluation of assigned programs
  • Participate in required program meetings, trainings, and events to meet program goals
  • Perform other duties as assigned
  • Manage and support the Management Information Systems (MIS) staff in meeting the vision and goals that align with the culture and values of the ESC-2
  • Manage and support the Information Systems Student team and Information Systems Business team on the use of TSDS, ASCENDER, and other relevant software to ensure effective technical assistance to LEAs and provide guidance on state and federal compliance requirements
