Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Nursing, Business, or related field.
  • LNHA license (Licensed Nursing Home Administrator).
  • At least 2 years of experience in healthcare administration, with 1+ year in skilled nursing leadership.
  • Knowledge of healthcare regulations governing skilled nursing facilities.
  • Strong organizational and financial management including budgeting and resource allocation.
  • Exceptional interpersonal, leadership, and communication skills.
  • Ability to develop and manage teams effectively.

Responsibilities

  • Provide guidance and support to nursing staff, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment.
  • Oversee daily operations of the skilled nursing facility, ensuring staff are trained, motivated, and compliant with policies and procedures.
  • Ensure adherence to state, federal, and local regulations and healthcare standards, including Medicare/Medicaid.
  • Manage facility budget, monitor expenses, and identify cost-saving opportunities.
  • Lead audits and assessments to monitor quality of care and implement improvements.
  • Develop and oversee staff training programs and performance evaluations.
  • Maintain open communication with residents, families, staff, and external partners.
  • Ensure compassionate, resident-centered care and oversee care plans with medical staff.
  • Monitor and minimize risks related to patient care and safety.
  • Other duties as assigned.

JOB SUMMARY:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Skilled Nursing Administrator to lead and manage our state-of-the-art skilled nursing facility. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in healthcare management, specifically in the long-term care and skilled nursing setting. This role requires a passionate leader dedicated to providing high-quality care for residents while ensuring compliance with all regulations and optimizing operational performance.


RESPONSIBILITIES:


  • Provideguidance and support to nursing staff, fostering a positive andcollaborative work environment.

  • Leadership and Staff Management: Oversee and direct the daily operations of the skilled nursing facility, ensuring staff are trained, motivated, and compliant with policies and procedures. Lead by example in delivering excellent patient care and customer service.

  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure adherence to all state, federal, and local regulations and healthcare standards, including Medicare, Medicaid, and other relevant healthcare codes. Stay informed on new regulatory changes and implement necessary policies.

  • Budgeting and Financial Management: Manage facility budget, monitor expenses, and identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising the quality of care. Prepare financial reports and support resource allocation to meet organizational goals.

  • Quality Assurance and Patient Care: Continuously improve patient care standards by developing and enforcing best practices for skilled nursing. Lead regular audits and assessments to monitor the quality of care and implement corrective actions as needed.

  • Staff Development and Training: Develop and oversee staff training programs to ensure all employees remain up-to-date with industry standards and certifications. Provide coaching, mentoring, and performance evaluations to promote professional growth.

  • Communication and Reporting: Maintain open communication with residents, families, staff, and external partners. Act as the facility's primary liaison with healthcare providers, community organizations, and government agencies.

  • Resident Care and Family Support: Ensure a compassionate and respectful environment for residents. Address family concerns, ensuring satisfaction with the care provided, and oversee resident care plans in coordination with the medical staff.

  • Risk Management: Monitor and minimize risks related to patient care, safety, and legal concerns. Oversee the implementation of safety protocols to protect both residents and staff.

  • Other Duties as Assigned.


REQUIREMENTS:


  • Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Nursing, Business, or related field

  • Valid Nursing Home Administrator (LNHA) license as required by state regulations.

  • At least 2 years of experience in healthcare administration, with at least 1 year in a skilled nursing facility leadership role.

  • Knowledge of healthcare regulations, policies, and standards governing skilled nursing facilities.

  • Strong organizational and financial management skills, including budgeting and resource allocation.

  • Exceptional interpersonal, leadership, and communication skills.

  • Ability to develop and manage teams effectively.

  • Passion for providing high-quality, patient-centered care in a skilled nursing environment.
