Job summary

Trinity Oaks Health & Rehab in North Carolina seeks an Administrator to oversee daily operations of a long-term care community, ensuring high-quality resident care and compliance with laws and policies.

You will work with the Operations Director/VP of Senior Services to lead staff, manage budgets, and maintain strong community relationships while upholding the Lutheran Services Carolinas standards.

Qualifications

  • BA/BS preferred; NC administrator licensed individuals considered with extensive experience.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook; EMR systems used in operation.
  • Experience in long-term care operations and regulatory compliance is required.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily operations of the long-term care community to ensure smooth functioning.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and organizational policies.
  • Assist in budget development and manage operating costs within the annual budget.
  • Lead and supervise staff, provide mentorship, and maintain resident and family satisfaction.

Trinity Oaks Health & Rehab, part of Lutheran Services Carolinas, is seeking a dynamic Administrator to oversee the daily operations of our long-term care community. We are committed to maintaining the highest standards of quality service in a supportive and collaborative environment.Position SummaryAs the Administrator, you will ensure our community operates smoothly and efficiently, in compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and organizational policies. You’ll work closely with the Operations Director and/or VP of Senior Services to provide exceptional support and leadership, while building positive relationships with residents, families, staff, and the local community.Essential Functions:Assures the appropriate employment, training, supervision, and termination of teammates as expressed in official employment practices of Lutheran Services Carolinas.Coordinate the provision of services to residents in consistent manner to ensure that provisions of care are appropriate to resident needs.Assist in development of budget recommendations, appropriately involving supervisory teammates. Manage and control operational costs as defined in the annual budget and ensure the conduct of sound fiscal practices.Oversee the physical assets of the long-term care community and assure their timely, proper maintenance.Assist in establishing necessary policies, procedures, and practices to direct management, supervisory and regular teammates in completion of their duties. Direction and guidance provided shall follow LSC policies and applicable government regulations.Ensure an effective marketing and public relations program in the local community that projects a positive image of Lutheran Services Carolinas and the local long term care community.Adopt and utilize current job descriptions and skills validation checklist. Maintain assignments and schedules for all positions in the community.Inform all teammates of applicable LSC and community policies and procedures, teammate rights and responsibilities, and all benefit opportunities.Ensure the proper documentation of resident care/services, business activities, and teammate performance.Appropriately designate authority and responsibility to management personnel to act in the absence of the Administrator and/or in the event of emergencies.Assure confidentiality regarding resident and teammate records information as applicable.Adopt New Pathways and Just Culture initiatives.Ensure pre-admission and admission documents of prospective residents to establish appropriateness of placement.Promote and expect exceptional customer service.Build relationships with donors and potential donors to encourage their support of local and organization-wide LSC ministries and communicate contacts to LSC’s Development division.Complete other duties, tasks, or projects as necessary for the orderly operation of the community or other tasks assigned by the Operations Director and/or VP of Senior Services and LSC Management, Inc.Support and assist facility operations as needed at the direction of the Operations Director and/or VP of Senior Services.Other Specific Duties: The Administrator is responsible for appropriate interaction when requested with governing Board(s), management personnel, and regulatory agencies for maintaining (productive) relationships with constituencies of the community. These duties could include:The timely submission of required reports to Boards, management personnel and government agencies.Responsible for an effective resource development and marketing program to raise friends and funds for LSC.Provision of a safe physical environment equipped and staffed to maintain the community and services.Attendance at designated LSC meetings and functions.Coach and mentor supervisory teammates.Ensure appropriate regular communications with constituent groups and individuals (i.e., resident families, volunteers, ELCA pastors and congregations, community groups, etc.).Implement and maintain Disaster Plans and ensure practices and agreements are up to date for evacuation.Supervisor Responsibilities, if any:Department Head positions in the long-term care community.Qualifications (minimum job requirements):Education: BA/BS degree preferred; but NC Administrator licensed individuals with extensive experience will be considered.Specific skills/abilities: Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook; and other programs utilized by LSC; including Electronic Medical Records.Specialized knowledge, licenses, etc.: Current North Carolina licensure as a nursing home or assisted living administrator as applicable for community operation.Working Conditions/Physical Requirements:Office conditions apply, sitting at desk and in front of computer for extended periods of time.Ambulatory throughout all areas of the facilities.Ability to lift or carry 20 pounds; and ability to push or pull mobile carts as needed.Flexible scheduling as approved by the Operations Director and/or VP of Senior Services.This position offers the opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of our residents and their families.
