Job summary

NuCare Senior Living in Madison, WI is seeking an experienced Administrator to lead the Willow Glen community. You will oversee resident care, staffing, budget, and regulatory compliance, ensuring a safe, high-quality living environment for residents and families.

This leadership role requires strong communication, team development, and a commitment to resident-centered care. You will drive quality assurance, surveys preparation, admissions oversight, and community relations to maintain

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in healthcare administration, business, nursing, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 2–3 years of experience in senior living, healthcare, or long-term care administration.
  • Strong knowledge of state regulations and best practices in assisted living operations.
  • Leadership experience with demonstrated ability to manage people, processes, and budgets effectively.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and decision-making skills.
  • Must meet administrator qualification standards for assisted living facilities.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure full compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local laws.
  • Prepare for and respond to state surveys and inspections, including implementing plans of correction.
  • Maintain all licensing requirements and ensure facility documentation and postings are up to date.
  • Oversee operations, safety programs, emergency preparedness, and health monitoring standards.
  • Hire, supervise, and evaluate department heads and community staff.
  • Provide leadership that fosters a positive, resident-focused culture.
  • Conduct team meetings, staff development, and ensure training compliance.
  • Monitor staffing levels and scheduling to ensure adequate coverage and support.
  • Ensure high-quality care and service delivery in accordance with individualized service plans (ISPs).
  • Promote open communication with residents and families; address concerns promptly and professionally.
  • Oversee admissions, move-ins, and discharges to maintain appropriate occupancy levels.
  • Develop and manage the community’s operating budget, ensuring financial health and responsible resource use.
  • Oversee billing, payroll, and expense control in coordination with corporate or ownership entities.
  • Monitor census, revenue, and collections to ensure sustainability.
  • Serve as the face of the community for prospective residents, families, referral partners, and the public.
  • Build and maintain relationships with regulatory agencies, vendors, healthcare partners, and the broader community.
  • Support outreach efforts and tours to maintain targeted occupancy levels.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in healthcare administration, business, nursing, or a related field
2–3 years of senior living/healthcare administration experience
