Candidate Requirements:
REQUIRED EDUCATION: Bachelor’s degree in Business or Public Administration or BSN in Nursing (with management experience) or appropriate specialty area or Masters in Public Health (MPH); may consider Associate’s degree combined with appropriate work experience
REQUIRED LICENSURE: Driver’s License, proof of insurance
REQUIRED CERTIFICATIONS: CPR – annual re-certification; National Incident Management System (NIMS)/Incident Command System (ICS) 100, 200, 300, 400, 700 and 800 Certifications (obtained within 18 months)
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE: 5 years of experience in a progressively increasing health career preferred; 5 years of supervisory experience required.
Demonstrates ability to communicate with people, orally and in writing.
Demonstrates ability to plan, direct and organize work of others.
Must have computer knowledge and skills.

The Administrator is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the Health District including the supervision of all public health staff (Fiscal/administrative) as well as oversight of the administrative and fiscal operations of the department.The Administrator is actively involved in day-to-day delivery of services to the citizens of the Health Unit.
The public health administrator has knowledge of the essential services of public health.The successful Administrator has knowledge of public health as a science that promotes healthy people and communities.This individual will possess excellent decision-making skills, having the ability to make decisions quickly (often with limited time and information) and react with flexibility to changing priorities.They will always be monitoring client services, ensuring that the service is delivered in a courteous, respectful, and caring manner. The Administrator must have an unwavering commitment to maintaining confidentiality of any information learned in the scope of the position. (Signing a Confidentiality Agreement is a condition of employment). The successful Administrator will continuously model the work behaviors that are desired of all staff members of the district, including (but not limited to) integrity, commitment, strong work ethic, respect, and professionalism.
Asl Administrator, this individual will possess outstanding people skills along with an eye for detail and the ability to effectively and efficiently manage the administrative and fiscal operations of the Public Health District; a thorough knowledge of community resources and solid working relationships is essential.
