Job description

Badlands Behavioral Health Clinic is seeking an Administrative Assistant in Dickinson, ND. This is a full-time position requiring 40 hours per week, with some evening shifts extending until 7:30 p.m. Be part of the solution to the behavioral health crisis. As a team member for ND Department of Health & Human Services, you will ensure the most vulnerable have access to a high-quality healthcare system in which prevention works, treatment is effective, and people recover.

As an Administrative Assistant, you will serve as a welcoming and professional first point of contact for callers and visitors, connecting them with the appropriate resources and services. You will provide a variety of administrative support, including scheduling appointments, answering incoming calls, opening and distributing mail, processing payments, maintaining electronic communications, and performing other general administrative duties as assigned.

In this role, you will also be responsible for registering clients, maintaining and updating client demographic and financial information, reviewing insurance coverage and benefits, determining financial eligibility, and assisting clients with billing-related questions. The ideal candidate will provide excellent customer service while maintaining accuracy, confidentiality, and professionalism in all interactions.

The ability to effectively multitask, prioritize responsibilities, and stay organized in a fast-paced work environment is essential. To be considered for this position

To be considered for this position, you are required to have a high school diploma or GED and three years of experience performing a variety of complex office support, clerical, or secretarial work. Additional education with major coursework in office support or business may substitute for up to two years of experience on a year-for-year basis. Specific experience in health, human services or clinic settings is preferred.

This position requires a valid driver's license and successful completion of the assigned defensive driving course during new-hire orientation.
