Job Summary
To perform a variety of specialized departmental clerical duties and responsibilities within the assigned department.
Essential Job Functions
- Completes assigned juvenile workload.
- Creates and processes incoming case packets.
- Distribute, docket in computerized case management system, scan, and file all correspondence and documents filed with the department.
- Answers telephone and takes messages or transfers calls to proper individuals.
- Greets and assists general public by taking or providing information, receiving payments or directing them to proper locations.
- Prepares and processes required department documents, forms and reports as required.
- Operates computer, scanner, copier and other office equipment as needed.
- Expunges cases when ordered by the Court.
- Attends meetings and/or training sessions as required.
- Performs other job-related duties as required.
Minimum Requirements to Perform the Work
Education
- High school diploma or equivalent plus some additional secretarial and computer training.
Work Experience
- 3-5 years working experience in an office setting and with the public preferred.
- Proficient in data entry/typing.
- Legal experience a plus.
