Responsibilities

  • Respond to communications and solve problems; take appropriate actions.
  • Arrange meetings as directed by the Assistant Superintendent.
  • Maintain schedule for the Assistant Superintendent.
  • Communicate with the Assistant Superintendent promptly about concerns with priority status.
  • Compile information for monthly Board of Education agenda and post to Board Docs.
  • Back up support for the Executive Assistant for Board Meetings.
  • Maintain coverage for the PTEC reception desk with substitutes as needed.
  • Order office supplies for PTEC building needs.
  • Keep office machines and equipment functioning; troubleshoot and contact vendors.
  • Maintain records for Safe School Grant and iMAC reimbursements.
  • Keep budget spreadsheets for Nursing, Perry Police and Operations.
  • Keep building keys updated for all PTEC offices.
  • Oversee building activities to ensure procedures are followed.
  • Provide guidance to groups and activities within the building.
  • Compile and approve payroll for sub, police staff, and PTEC custodial staff.
  • Maintain communications with all seven departments under Operations.
  • Review, track and update employee contact information for Emergency School Closings.
  • Manage and review W-9s of contracted police positions.

Administrative Support Supervisor
Position Purpose

Under the direct supervision of the Assistant Superintendent of Schools, to provide a wide variety of complex and confidential administrative and secretarial support, including communication of information on behalf of the Assistant Superintendent to school district employees, parents, other school districts, public agencies, etc. Ability to address a variety of issues and/or provide general support necessary to ensure efficient and effective school district operations.

Essential Job Functions
  • Respond to communications and problem-solve on appropriate actions.
  • Arrange meetings as directed by the Assistant Superintendent.
  • Maintain schedule for Assistant Superintendent.
  • Communicate with the Assistant Superintendent in a timely manner, with knowledge of concerns with priority status.

  • Keep building keys updated for all PTEC offices.
  • Oversees building activities to ensure operational procedures are followed.
  • Provides guidance to groups and activities within the building.
  • Compile and approve payroll for secretarial sub, police staff, and PTEC custodial staff.
  • Maintain communications with the seven departments under Operations umbrella.
  • Review, track and compile updated employee contact information for Emergency School Closings.
  • Manage and review W-9's of the contracted police positions for accuracy.
Equipment

Uses standard office equipment such as personal computer, copy machine and fax machines, and telephone.

Travel Requirements

Travel to school district buildings and professional meetings as required.

Pay Rate

$60236.80 - $66260.48 annually

Work Schedule

8 hours per day.

260 days per year.

Knowledge, Skills And Abilities

  • Extensive experience with Skyward, Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word (Including Mail merge), Power Point, Google Docs and Google Sheets.

  • Familiarity with business office procedures.
  • Effective and professional oral and written communication.
  • Ability to interact in a professional and positive manner with Central Office Administrators, Building Principals/Staff and all stakeholders.
  • Work collaboratively with individuals and groups.
