Perry Township School District seeks an Administrative Support Supervisor to provide complex administrative and secretarial support to the Assistant Superintendent and oversee building operations at the Perry Township Education Center.

The role requires experience with Skyward, Microsoft Office, board documentation, payroll preparation, and strong confidentiality and communication skills. A high school diploma is required; an associates degree is preferred.

  • Compile accurate information for monthly Board of Education agenda and post to Board Docs.
  • Back up support for the Executive Assistant for Board Meetings.
  • Maintains coverage for the PTEC reception desk with subs when needed.
  • Order office supplies for PTEC building needs.
  • Maintains operation of building office machines/equipment keeping them in working order.

Administrative Support Supervisor
Position Purpose

Under the direct supervision of the Assistant Superintendent of Schools, to provide a wide variety of complex and confidential administrative and secretarial support, including communication of information on behalf of the Assistant Superintendent to school district employees, parents, other school districts, public agencies, etc. Ability to address a variety of issues and/or provide general support necessary to ensure efficient and effective school district operations.

Essential Job Functions
  • Respond to communications and problem-solve on appropriate actions.
  • Arrange meetings as directed by the Assistant Superintendent.
  • Maintain schedule for Assistant Superintendent.
  • Communicate with the Assistant Superintendent in a timely manner, with knowledge of concerns with priority status.
  • Compile accurate information for monthly Board of Education agenda and post to Board Docs.
  • Back up support for the Executive Assistant for Board Meetings.
  • Maintains coverage for the PTEC reception desk with subs when needed.
  • Order office supplies for PTEC building needs.
  • Maintains operation of building office machines/equipment keeping them in working order. Troubleshoot issues and contact appropriate vendors for service.
  • Maintains records for Safe School Grant and compiles reports.
  • Maintains records for iMAC reimbursements for Medicaid.
  • Keeps budget spreadsheets and balances for Nursing, Perry Police and Operations Departments.
  • Keep building keys updated for all PTEC offices.
  • Oversees building activities to ensure operational procedures are followed.
  • Provides guidance to groups and activities within the building.
  • Compile and approve payroll for secretarial sub, police staff, and PTEC custodial staff.
  • Maintain communications with the seven departments under Operations umbrella.
  • Review, track and compile updated employee contact information for Emergency School Closings.
  • Manage and review W‑9's of the contracted police positions for accuracy.
Equipment

Uses standard office equipment such as personal computer, copy machine and fax machines, and telephone.

Travel Requirements

Travel to school district buildings and professional meetings as required.

Pay Rate

$60236.80 - $66260.48 annually

Work Schedule

8 hours per day.
260 days per year.
