The target hourly rate for the Administrative Support Supervisor is between $30.65 - $38.31; depending on qualifications

Job Details

The City of Plano Public Works Department – Compost Division is seeking an energetic and experienced Administrative Support Supervisor to join our team and support Texas Pure Products, a regional composting program that transforms yard trimmings and organic materials into compost, mulch, and soil products for residential and commercial customers.

We are looking for a collaborative leader who embodies our core values of respect, teamwork, trust, safety, and communication and thrives in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment. The ideal candidate will bring a strong foundation in administrative and business operations, along with the ability to lead, organize, and support the day-to-day administrative functions of the program.

Key areas of responsibility include overseeing and coordinating customer service and administrative activities such as processing orders, managing high-volume calls and emails, coordinating customer requests, and supporting invoicing and other accounts receivable and accounts payable functions. The position will also assist with data tracking, reporting, records management, and the preparation and analysis of operational and business reports used to support program decision-making.

In addition, this position will play an important role in supporting Texas Pure Products' sales and marketing efforts, including coordinating customer outreach, assisting with promotional activities and materials, supporting sales initiatives, and helping identify opportunities to grow product awareness and sales throughout the region.

As a supervisor, this position will be responsible for providing leadership and direction to administrative support staff, coordinating workloads and priorities, developing consistent processes, and ensuring work is completed accurately, efficiently, and with a high level of customer service.

This position reports to the Compost Operations and Business Manager. The role also collaborates with operational staff, customers, vendors, member cities, and other internal and external partners to support the overall success of the Texas Pure Products program.

The ideal candidate will also be comfortable balancing multiple priorities, identifying opportunities to improve processes, and taking ownership of administrative and business functions in a dynamic environment.
