City of Fort Lauderdale is seeking an Administrative Supervisor in the Public Works Department to oversee payroll, timekeeping, and recruitment. The role includes advisory and administrative duties, staff supervision, and evaluating programs and procedures to improve efficiency.
The position requires analysis, policy development, and coordination with management. It includes handling inquiries, preparing reports, and participating in budget monitoring and staff training in a government setting.
Provides highly responsible advisory and administrative work planning, developing, analyzing, evaluating, advising on, and improving various programs, policies, work methods and procedures. Analyzes and evaluates major segments of the organization and, based on study findings, develops recommendations and advice to management for improving the effectiveness and efficiency of programs and department operations. Supervises assigned staff and conducts performance evaluations. Work is reviewed through conferences, observation, reports submitted, and results obtained.
This is a classified Management Category III position covered by the Federation Bargaining which includes six (6) additional Management Vacation Days and a Vehicle Allowance of $250/month.
