The City of Fort Lauderdale is seeking a senior manager to direct departmental operations, drive strategic initiatives, and oversee budgets in a complex public-sector environment. The role requires strong leadership, policy development, and collaboration with multiple stakeholders to deliver municipal services effectively.
As a management level position, the candidate will supervise staff, ensure compliance with laws and regulations, and participate in emergency planning.

Directs the operations of an assigned department. Job duties are at the discretion of the Department Director or designee. Under general direction, the employee performs complex assignments requiring extensive initiative and independent judgment to assure that services are provided with the maximum effective use of personnel and ensuring operational functions are accomplished in accordance to applicable rules, regulations and laws.
This is a non-classified "at-will" position and is not subject to Civil Service Rules or any collective bargaining agreement.
This is a Management Category I position which includes ten (10) additional Management Vacation Days and a Vehicle Allowance of $390/month.
