Job summary

Maricopa County Department of Public Health is seeking an STI Clinic Supervisor to coordinate daily clinic operations and ensure high-quality, patient-centered care for STI services. Qualifications

Full Pay Range: $61,500 - $98,500 annually

Salary offers are based on the candidate's equivalent experience and internal equity with other employees within the same job classification. The position is not eligible for overtime compensation.

About the Position

The STI Clinic Supervisor plays a key role in ensuring the efficient delivery of high-quality, patient-centered care to individuals seeking services related to sexually transmitted infections (STIs). This position is responsible for coordinating daily clinic operations, managing patient flow, and supporting the work of clinical and support staff to promote a welcoming and respectful care environment. The Supervisor works collaboratively with the team to ensure patients receive timely and exceptional service while maintaining efficient clinic workflows and supporting quality standards.

We Require
  • Five years of administrative experience in a clinical setting
  • High school diploma or GED
  • An equivalent combination of post-secondary education and/or job-related experience may substitute for the required education on a year-for-year basis
Other Requirements
  • Must possess or have the ability to obtain a valid Arizona driver's license by the time of hire
  • Within one month of hire, all employees will be required to provide evidence of immunity or receive immunizations for vaccine-preventable illnesses for any position within the Maricopa County Department of Public Health; required immunizations include MMR (measles, mumps, rubella), Tdap (whooping cough and diphtheria), Varicella (chickenpox), and annual Influenza; some positions require a Hepatitis B vaccine and/or a Tuberculosis test
  • CPR Certification is required within 6 months of employment. Degrees/credits must be from an academically accredited college or university as recognized by the U.S. Department of Education (USDE) or the Council for Higher Education (CHEA)
  • Travel will be required to attend conferences and training, and possibly to work at varying locations
  • Must complete HIPAA training, CDC Partner Services training, and on-the-job training in reportable HIV/STI terminology, diagnosis, and treatment within 30 days of hire
  • Must be able to participate in emergency response training as scheduled and be available to respond as directed in the event of a public health emergency
We Also Value

  • Prior lead and/or supervisory experience
  • Experience managing the workflow in a medical office or clinic
  • Experience in a medical setting, diagnosing and treating STIs or other communicable diseases
  • Experience developing and implementing workflow processes in a medical setting
  • Experience working with State regulatory and licensing requirements for an Outpatient Treatment Center
Job Contributions
  • Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate clinic processes to efficiently manage the flow of the clinic and the tasks of the clinic staff. Provide directions to clinic staff to ensure that the clinic is operating smoothly and that patients are being seen in a timely manner. Design, coordinate, and monitor workflow processes for efficiency and effectiveness
  • Direct, coordinate, and supervise all human resource functions of staff, including the hiring, supervision, performance evaluation, coaching and counseling, and disciplinary
