As our Veterans Trust Officer Assistant, you will assist the Veterans Trust Officer to carry out the Director’s obligation as conservator. After budgets are in place, you will pay routine bills within budgeted guidelines. You will also respond to simple requests for funds from and for protected persons. You will work with medical providers, merchants, utility companies, government agencies, and other community resources to ensure that obligations are met, and benefits are received.

This position requires successful completion of a fingerprint based criminal history background check through the Oregon (LEDS) and National (NCIC) law enforcement data systems. A valid Oregon or Washington State driver’s license is required; must also undergo a Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) check, with ongoing monitoring as a condition of continued employment.

This position will be based out of ODVA’s Salem Office; however, the successful candidate will be eligible for hybrid (work from home/in office) work schedule after 1 year of service. The logistics of hybrid work will need to be worked out with the Hiring Manager prior to your hire and may be changed at any time given specific job duties and business needs. Remote work is evaluated periodically to ensure business needs are being met and can be adjusted at any time.
ODVA will provide necessary hardware (laptop, monitor, keyboard, mouse, and cell phone) for an employee to successfully work from home. This position will require travel to the ODVA Salem office and sites around the state on a periodic and and on an as-needed basis. At ODVA, you will have access to a workspace, however, it may be shared with other employees.
