Job summary

Qualifications

  • Certification from the Pennsylvania Department of Education.
  • ASL intermediate required; advanced preferred.

  • Ability to operate general office equipment.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team.
  • Collaborates with other Administrative Professionals.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate calendars and schedule appointments; set reminders.
  • Greet visitors and manage sign-in/out procedures.
  • Receive and refer telephone/VP calls as appropriate.
  • Email and formal correspondence to staff and families.
  • E-file and file records.
  • Maintain computerized and manual records, files, and databases.
  • Process forms and related paperwork.
  • Print lesson plans.
  • Plan department events.
  • Provide clerical support for various programs and departments.

Title: Administrative Professional

Reports to: Director of Student Affairs

Employment Information: Full time, 12 month non-union bargaining unit position

Qualifications:

  • Requires a high school diploma; Associate’s Degree or beyond preferred.
  • Advanced skills in using Microsoft applications including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook, as well as Google Suite. Experience in PowerSchool is a plus.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication and presentation skills.
  • Possession of or eligibility for appropriate certification from the Pennsylvania Department of Education.
  • Ability to communicate in American Sign Language – intermediate skill required; advanced skill desired.
  • Careful attention to detail and ability to multitask.
  • Excellent time management skills.
  • Ability to operate general office equipment.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
  • Works collaboratively with other Administrative Professionals.

Duties:

  • Coordinate calendars/schedule appointments, meeting reminders.
  • Greets all incoming visitors and ensures that guests sign in/out as required.

  • Maintains a variety of computerized and manual records, files, and department databases.
  • Process forms and related paperwork
  • Print out lesson plans
  • Planning department events.
  • Process and distribute (mail/email) letters and other correspondence
  • Provide clerical support for various programs and departments.
Requirements

Physical Requirements and Work Environment:

  • Occasionally lift up to 25 lbs.
  • Generally works in an office environment.
  • Ability to sit, stand, walk, kneel, crouch and reach with hands and arms
  • Some lifting, carrying, pushing, and/or pulling; some climbing and balancing; some stooping, kneeling, crouching, and/or crawling; and significant fine finger dexterity. G
