Job summary

Colorado State University’s CEMML is seeking an Operation Coordinator to support the U.S. Air Force Wildland Fire Branch at Joint Base San Antonio, TX. The coordinator organizes, plans, and coordinates office operations and procedures to ensure efficiency within AFWFB.

This role involves data entry, records management, document review, and coordinating with government staff, vendors, and internal management to sustain Air Force wildfire programs and related resources.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in natural resources, business administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum of two years of relevant experience.
  • Knowledge and experience using MS Office software.
  • Ability to work in a dynamic work environment and respond to short deadlines.
  • Familiarity with federal policies, instructions, and regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Input administrative information into government systems, strictly excluding any certification or approval actions.
  • Provide data entry support and maintain accurate records.
  • Organize and maintain files, records, and documentation.
  • Assist with AFWFB document review and AFWFB policy creation and review.
  • Monitor shipment statuses, update tracking logs, and notify government staff of pending actions.
  • Assist with tracking expenditures and expenditure documentation.
  • Support financial tracking activities and gather vendor and product information for AFWFB expenditures.
  • Support the Senior Equipment Coordinator in planning, coordination, and administrative activities.
  • Support briefings, data calls, and reports for AFWFB senior leaders.
  • Provide documentation support for organizational initiatives and requirements.
  • Conduct Internet and data research as required and coordinate effectively with internal management, staff, outside clients, and vendors.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by AFWFB Leadership on an ad hoc basis to facilitate operations.
  • Exercise flexibility, strong interpersonal skills, and appropriate discretion when handling sensitive or confidential matters.
