This position manages administrative functions and ensures efficient workflow for the Bureau of Veterans Homes headquarters. The role includes supervising staff, reviewing procedures, supporting leadership, and guiding office operations. As an Administrative Officer 1, you will perform the following duties:
- Office Management: Oversee administrative operations and guide daily workflow for headquarters staff
- Staff Supervision: Direct, evaluate, and support administrative employees to ensure quality work practices
- Project Coordination: Plan and complete special assignments with leadership, vendors, and consultants
- Policy Review: Examine procedures, prepare reports, and recommend changes to improve operations
- Hiring Support: Assist with staffing needs, interview scheduling, and preparation of personnel documents
- Resource Oversight: Manage building access, procurement requests, and bureau equipment tracking
Work Schedule and Additional Information:
- Full-time employment (7.5 hours per day/37.5 hours per week)
- Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch. This may change based on operational needs.

- Telework:You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time. You will report in-office 5 days and telework 5 days in a 10-day pay period. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Annville. The ability to telework is subject to change at any time. Additional details may be provided during the interview.

QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
- Two years of experience in varied office management or staff work; and bachelor's degree; or
- Any equivalent combination of experience and training.
Additional Requirements:
- You must pass a favorable National Crime Information Center (NCIC) screening for admittance to Fort Indiantown Gap.
- You must maintain an Automated Installation Entry (AIE) card once it is issued.
- You must be able to perform essential job functions.
Preferred Qualifications (not required):
- Experience providing administrative support
- Experience working at a long-term or large healthcare facility
- Experience analyzing information and developing reports that assist in the management of the organization
- Experience working with Microsoft Excel to generate metrics, manage and format data, create advanced formulas and macros, and manage advanced charts and tables

- A conditional offer of employment will require submission of criminal history reports.
