The State Highway Administration's (SHA) Office of Communications (OOC) is recruiting for an Administrative Manager (Administrator II) position in Baltimore City. This position is open to applicants who meet the minimum and selective qualifications listed below. This is a position-specific recruitment, and the resulting list of eligible candidates will be used only to fill this position. Applicants must reapply for future vacancies.
The primary role of this position is to serve as the Administrative Chief for the Office of Communication, Office of Policy & Research, Office of Government Affairs, and Customer Relations team. The role involves ensuring compliance with all HR, procurement, and financial policies under the Transportation Service Human Resource System (TSHRS), Maryland Department of Transportation (MDOT), and Department of Budget and Management (DBM). The position requires broad management knowledge of SHA and the ability to coordinate various programs, goals, and resources to efficiently carry out SHA’s mission. The Administrative Manager must exercise independent judgment to ensure effective communication and conduct of business, possess strong organizational skills, and support emergency operations as a public information officer when needed.

At least two and a half (2.5) years of the required experience must involve human resources and procurement and/or contract administration. This qualification is more specific than the minimum and focuses on particular skills or knowledge.
