What You'll Do
As an Administrative Legal Support Specialist, you'll play a key role in supporting legal operations by managing records requests, maintaining legal documentation, and coordinating with internal and external partners.
Your Responsibilities
- Research and evaluate third-party records requests and assist with preparing appropriate responses.
- Review, organize, redact, and produce legal and business records while ensuring compliance with privacy laws and company policies.
- Research internal systems and document repositories to locate records and supporting documentation.
- Maintain legal files, databases, tracking logs, and case documentation.
- Coordinate with internal departments and external requestors to ensure timely completion of legal requests.
- Support legal projects, special initiatives, and departmental administrative functions.
- Handle confidential legal and business information with professionalism and discretion.
- Identify opportunities to improve administrative processes and workflow efficiency.
What You Bring
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of administrative support experience, preferably in a legal, insurance, healthcare, or corporate environment.
- Strong understanding of legal documentation, records management, and administrative procedures.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Outstanding attention to detail and organizational abilities.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to prioritize multiple deadlines and work independently.
- Experience handling highly confidential information.
- Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, and Access.
Preferred Experience
- Supporting an in-house legal department or corporate legal team.
- Insurance industry experience.
- Responding to legal records requests, subpoenas, or regulatory inquiries.
- Experience with eDiscovery or electronic document management systems.
- Maintaining legal databases, document repositories, and case files.
- Knowledge of healthcare privacy regulations and records management practices.
