Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Admin/Inventory Specialist to manage warehouse receiving operations and oversee inventory transaction processes. This role plays a critical part in ensuring inventory accuracy, efficient stock movement, and optimal stock levels to support smooth operations within a manufacturing or warehouse environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Inventory Tracking: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all incoming and outgoing inventory.
- Inventory Cycle Counts: Conduct and organize regular physical counts of inventory; reconcile findings with system records.
- Discrepancy Resolution: Investigate and resolve mismatches between physical stock and system data.
- Receiving Operations: Manage and implement receiving procedures to ensure accurate and timely receipt of inventory; resolve any related disputes or discrepancies.
- Inventory Movement: Oversee inventory transactions including WIP picks, stock line-item picks, job picks, floor stock replenishment, and adjustments.
- Bin Location Maintenance: Support the maintenance of accurate bin locations within the warehouse system.
- Stock Rotation: Develop and apply procedures for proper stock rotation to prevent obsolescence.
- Training: Train team members on inventory transaction processes and receiving procedures.
- Problem Solving: Proactively address and resolve issues such as overages, shortages, and product damage.
- Reporting: Generate and analyze inventory reports, including stock movement and inventory levels.
- Data Analysis: Evaluate inventory data to identify trends and inform stocking strategies for fast-moving items.
Qualifications:
- Strong attention to detail with effective communication skills.
- In-depth understanding of inventory control procedures in a manufacturing or warehouse environment.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with supervisors and cross-functional teams.
- Self-motivated and capable of working independently.
- Proficiency in Excel (intermediate to advanced) and general computer applications.
- Experience with ERP or inventory management systems required, specifically SAP.
