Job summary

Orange County Fire Authority seeks a Division Administrative Fire Captain to oversee administrative duties under the guidance of the Division Chief. This is an internal OCFA recruitment requiring current non-probationary OCFA Fire Captain experience and comprehensive OCFA work history for consideration.

The role includes coordinating with officials, representing OCFA publicly, and directing diverse programs while preparing reports and presentations. A vehicle is provided for official use.

Qualifications

• Strong interpersonal, written and verbal communication abilities.
• Experience coordinating programs and presenting to stakeholders.
• Proficiency with office software and data interpretation.

Responsibilities

• Serve as liaison with city, county, and state officials as directed.
• Represent OCFA at meetings and public events.
• Assist in planning, directing, and coordinating a variety of programs and activities.
• Research, analyze, and interpret technical data.
• Prepare written staff reports and oral presentations on policy and procedures.
• Staff the Department Operations Center (DOC) during major incidents.
• Perform other administrative duties as necessary.
