Job summary

Orange County Fire Authority is extending the promotional process for Fire Captain to eligible, non-probationary OCFA firefighters. Candidates must have five years of full-time experience as a Firefighter or Fire Apparatus Engineer and meet CSFM Company Officer and ENGB prerequisites.

Documentation must be submitted with the application by the stated deadline. Applicants should ensure they hold the required licenses and certifications, including a valid California Driver License and CSFM

Qualifications

• Probation completed as Firefighter at time of application.
• At least five (5) years’ experience as a full-time career Firefighter or Fire Apparatus Engineer with OCFA or related agency.
• Must meet basic proficiency via OCFA Fire Apparatus Engineer promotions or CFSTES Driver/Operator certifications.
• Submission of all required CSFM and ENGB-related certificates at time of application.
