Responsibilities

  • Researches, enters, updates, and maintains accurate MER vendor data in DCPS.
  • Contacts vendor personnel to secure updated information and W-9s.
  • Inactivates vendors in DCPS as needed.
  • Consolidates duplicate vendor entries to ensure accuracy when evidence is requested by disability analysis.
  • Verifies and authorizes payment of MER and CE invoices.
  • Confirms MER and CE reports have been received by reviewing disability case information in the DCPS system.
  • Resolves issues related to outstanding/incomplete MER and CE reports to authorize or cancel payments.
  • Reviews reports to identify payment errors and initiate resolution process.
  • Facilitates reimbursement and reissuing of DDS funds to resolve MER vendor payment errors.
  • Responds to inquiries from disability analysts, Administrative Law Judges, and doctors related to a wide variety of fiscal issues.

Join our team and play an integral part in the fulfillment of the Disability Determinations Services (DDS). This position performs highly complex, specialized fiscal duties for the Louisiana DDS, which requires independent judgment and individual discretion to support the accurate obligations of annual payments for medical evidence records (MER) and consultative examination (CE) costs. Three years of experience in administrative services.

EXPERIENCE SUBSTITUTION: Every 15 semester hours earned from an accredited college or university will be credited as six months of experience.

Job Duties:

  • Contacts vendor personnel to secure updated information and W-9s.
  • Inactivates vendors in DCPS as needed.
  • Consolidates duplicate vendor entries to ensure accuracy when evidence is requested by disability analysis.
