Job summary

Ideal candidates will possess RN licensure in Louisiana, a nursing degree (BSN or ADN) with supervisory experience, and strong communication skills to support hospital leadership and patient safety initiatives.

Qualifications

• License to practice as a Registered Nurse in Louisiana.
• Bachelor’s degree in Nursing with 3 years of post-licensure clinical nursing experience and 1 year of supervisory experience.
• Associate Degree in Nursing with 3 years post-licensure experience; 5 years preferred and 1 year supervisory experience.
• Demonstrated leadership, organizational and problem solving skills.
• Excellent oral and written communication; CPR, ACLS, and PALS required.

Responsibilities

• Promotes quality patient care through effective management of care areas.
• Acts as on-site administrator after hours and notifies administrator of issues.
• Evaluates and manages departmental resources and staffing resources.
• Visits patient care units to assess conditions and provide on-site support.
• Ensures regulatory compliance and HIPAA compliant communications.
• Leads performance improvement initiatives and staff development.
