Erie County Courthouse is seeking an Administrative Clerk for the Domestic Relations department. Under general supervision, you will perform varied clerical tasks and support PACSES operations, data entry, and court-related document processing.

This full‑time position requires a High School Diploma or GED; coursework in keyboarding and computer software is preferred. Starting pay is $13.58 per hour, 37.5 hours per week, non‑exempt status.

Job description

  • Under general supervision, performs varied clerical tasks in Domestic Relations. These employees are usually given more complex responsibilities and are expected to perform at a higher level than entry-level personnel.
Duties & Responsibilities
  • Working knowledge of the (PACSES) Pennsylvania Child Support Enforcement System in all areas of Domestic Relations. Performs related duties as required, including the data entry and processing of documents in completing Court related forms. Maintains control over incoming and outgoing correspondence relating to specialized departments and collects data for statistical reports. Consolidates, classifies, and checks important material for completeness including but not limited to court orders, legal documents, and preparation of materials for presentation in court. Processes records and maintains files and office records.

  • Thorough knowledge of the screens and procedures of PACSES (Pennsylvania Child Support Enforcement System) as well as clerical processes of financials, customer service, intake, establishment, and enforcement. Capability to work independently, maintain the necessary clerical records, and assist in preparing accurate reports. Ability to exercise good judgment, courtesy, and tact while dealing with the clients, giving and obtaining information, and in making proper disposition of problems.
