This role manages events, travel arrangements, reimbursements, purchasing, and budget reconciliation, while supporting study abroad activities and student workers.
The position is 1.0 FTE (40 hours/week), Monday–Friday, on the Main UNCW Campus, with a 12-month schedule and the Journey competency level.

The Administrative Associate acts as the face of the department and provides administrative and technical support to the department. This person takes the lead on coordinating and managing special events for the department and any graduate programs within the department. This position secures travel arrangements and processes travel authorizations and reimbursements for all staff in the office. This person will manage departmental supplies and general office needs (such as building service requests, mailings, copying, etc.). This position does most of the department purchasing and will collaborate with the operations team to support budget reconciliation and budget-related requests. The Administrative Associate will provide assistance to the International Programs Coordinator in terms of study abroad support. This person may also help support departmental hiring for students and supervise student workers. This position may also take on additional responsibilities of as similar nature as needed.
