This position performs routine to difficult administrative and technical work functions that require interpretation, judgement, and determination of appropriate processes and procedures. Responsibilities include reviewing and issuing code violation notices, work orders, invoices, property liens, payroll time entry, purchasing, Pcard coding, and contracts. The role involves maintaining documents, ensuring recordkeeping compliance, arranging meetings, developing microcomputer applications for data collection and report generation, and functioning as part of the call center for citywide information and service requests. Extensive customer service skills are required, along with proficiency in Microsoft Office. Education requirements include a high school diploma or GED, with an associate degree preferred, and 3-5 years of related experience or equivalent education and experience.
Coordinates hiring and onboarding, processes personnel transactions, assists with payroll and FMLA monitoring, and performs other HR-related duties. Supervises 2-4 staff members, trains personnel, and manages various administrative tasks including budget monitoring, report preparation, and public interactions. Handles code compliance duties such as issuing violations, managing liens, reviewing cases, and coordinating with legal and city departments. Provides extensive customer service via the city's call center and manages citizen service requests.
High school diploma or GED required; associate degree preferred. 3-5 years of relevant experience in administrative support or related field. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, ability to interpret documents, and effective communication skills are essential. Ability to apply common sense, deal with problems, and perform physical demands such as sitting, handling, reaching, and occasional lifting up to 10 pounds. The work environment is typically moderate noise, with occasional loud or challenging situations during enforcement activities.
