Job Description

Under general supervision, performs complex administrative support for daily operations in an operations, corporate services, or sales area. Handles sensitive and confidential issues, collaborating as a liaison between management and other units.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
  • Assist management with organizational activities such as performance reviews, cost updates, and customer issues, resolving problems proactively within scope of authority.
  • Draft, prepare, and distribute correspondence, memos, reports, utilizing office technologies and software.
  • Coordinate meetings, conferences, travel, and maintain calendars.
  • Prepare and process reports, including payroll and business operations, with a sense of urgency; may train staff on administrative processes.
  • May lead, mentor, and train staff; establish and maintain official records.
  • Assist with special projects, attend meetings, and record notes or provide information as needed.
  • Back up other administrative staff and support other functional areas as required.
Reporting Relationship

Typically reports to a Supervisor or above.

Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities
  • Excellent communication skills, including professional phone etiquette.
  • Strong interpersonal skills for effective interaction with internal and external partners.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and other business software.
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks.
  • Basic knowledge of the insurance industry and related business units.
Education and Experience
  • Some college coursework in Marketing, Business, or Accounting is desirable.
  • Minimum of four years of strong administrative experience.
