Job summary

Weyerhaeuser seeks an Administrative Assistant to support our Greenville, NC sawmill. You will back up daily production reporting, manage office communications, and maintain records. You will assist with basic financial tasks, payroll monitoring, and project coordination.

The role requires strong MS Office skills, confidentiality with sensitive data, and excellent communication. A high school diploma or GED is required, with 1–3 years of administrative experience preferred.

  • Strong internet research and MS Office skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Ability to handle highly sensitive information with confidentiality.

Responsibilities

  • Back up daily production report data entry and support management.
  • Coordinate emails, phone calls, mail, and general office communications.
  • Maintain organized records, both physical and digital.
  • Serve as first contact for visitors and vendors and provide excellent service.
  • Assist with expense tracking, payroll monitoring, and budget tasks.
  • Support multiple projects and ensure deadlines are met.
  • Read pay statements and answer associates' pay questions.

DescriptionWeyerhaeuser is searching for an Administrative Assistant to support our lumber facility in Greenville, North Carolina. Our Greenville operation is a random length sawmill primarily producing lumber up to 20 feet in length with some specialty related capacity. Greenville is in beautiful northeastern North Carolina which offers small town charm, outdoor recreational activities and proximity to colleges. Shopping and arts/entertainment are available in neighboring cities.Administrative Support:Back up – Entering data for the Daily Production ReportProvide comprehensive administrative support to the management team.Manage and coordinate office communications, including emails, phone calls, and mail.Office Management:Oversee the day-to-day operations of the office, ensuring a clean and organized workspace.Maintain office supplies inventory and reorder as needed.Coordinate office events, meetings, and appointments.Data Entry and Record Keeping:Accurately input and manage data using office software and databases.Maintain organized and up-to-date records, both physical and digital.Customer Service:Serve as the first point of contact for visitors and vendors.Provide excellent customer service by addressing inquiries and directing individuals to the appropriate contacts.Financial Support:Assist with basic financial tasks such as expense tracking and budget monitoring.Monitor payroll records to ensure accurate payment to employees.Project Assistance:Center of expertise regarding being able to answer associates' questions regarding their pay.Manage Log Consumption Daily, adjust as needed (SAP)Complete Closing for GV & PL mills. We want you to choose us.What We Offer:Compensation: This role is eligible for our annual merit-increase program, and we are targeting a salary range of $50,000-$75,100 based on your level of skills, qualifications and experience. You will also be eligible for our Annual Incentive Program, which offers a cash bonus targeting 5% of base pay. Potential plan funding may range from zero to two times that target.Benefits: When you join our team, you and your dependents will be offered coverage under our comprehensive employee benefits plan, which includes medical, dental, vision, short and long-term disability, and life insurance.
