Qualifications

  • Exceptional organizational and multitasking abilities with keen attention to detail.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience with Google Workspace and scheduling tools.
  • Experience in event planning and logistics coordination is a plus.
  • Discretion and professionalism in handling confidential information.
  • Interest in or commitment to the mission of the Center on Faith and Justice.

Responsibilities

  • Provide high-level administrative, executive, and analytical support to the Director of the Center on Faith and Justice.
  • Assist with the Center’s daily operations and with special projects, teaching and course administration, correspondence, and calendar maintenance.
  • Plan, coordinate, and execute high-profile events for the Director.
  • Develop, support, and maintain administrative processes.
  • Coordinate activities on behalf of the Director and liaise with senior management across campus.
  • Draft, review, and manage emails, letters, and other communications for the Director.
  • Prepare materials and logistics for speaking events, interviews, and public appearances.
  • Oversee day-to-day administrative operations including supplies, mail, and office systems.
  • Handle reimbursements and coordinate office facilities requests.

Job description

  • Provide high-level administrative, executive, and analytical support to the Director of the Center on Faith and Justice
  • Assist with the Center’s daily operations
  • Support special projects, teaching and course administration, correspondence, and calendar maintenance
  • Plan, coordinate, and execute high-profile events for the Director
  • Develop, support, and maintain administrative support processes
  • Coordinate activities on behalf of the Director and serve as liaison to senior management across campus
  • Identify issues, prioritize tasks, and work independently with confidentiality
  • Assist with event planning and logistics, including content and administrative tasks
  • Maintain and manage the Director’s calendar, meetings, speaking engagements, and travel arrangements
  • Draft, review, and manage emails, letters, and other communications for the Director
  • Prepare materials and logistics for speaking events, interviews, and public appearances
  • Oversee day-to-day administrative operations, including supplies, mail, and office systems
  • Assist other staff and coordinate office supply and facilities requests
  • Handle Center reimbursements
  • Act as primary contact for inquiries to the Director and Center
  • Update and maintain the Center’s digital platform with relevant content
  • Liaise with University administration, deans, senior management, faculty, staff, students, alumni, industry partners, and the Georgetown community
  • Oversee revenue and expenses for certain RGA-funded projects and events
  • Oversee 1–2 student workers
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in a related field
  • 0–2 years proven experience in administrative roles, preferably in nonprofit or mission-driven organizations, or equivalent combination of education and work experience
  • Exceptional organizational and multitasking abilities with keen attention to detail
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency in office software (Google Workspace) and scheduling tools
  • Experience in event planning and logistics coordination is a plus
  • Discretion and professionalism in handling confidential information
  • Interest in or commitment to the mission of the Center on Faith and Justice
  • Proactive and self-motivated with a problem-solving mindsetAbility to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong interpersonal skills with a positive and flexible attitude
  • Passion for social justice, faith-based initiatives, and public discourse surrounding these issues is desirable
  • Experience with social media is preferred
  • Familiarity with issues at the intersection of faith, justice, religion, politics, and policy
