Washington State Criminal Justice Training Commission (WSCJTC) seeks an experienced Administrative Assistant 4 to support the Certification Bureau’s Operations and Investigations Divisions in King County. You will supervise administrative staff, coordinate daily operations, and mentor the team to deliver efficient processes and outstanding service.

The duty station for this position is in King County. The incumbent will receive 5% premium pay in addition to the salary listed above.
The Opportunity: The Washington State Criminal Justice Training Commission (WSCJTC) is seeking a customer-service-focused administrative professional to join our Certification Bureau. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced administrative professional who enjoys supporting leaders, developing staff, building strong working relationships, and contributing to work that serves both the agency and the public.
The Certification Bureau consists of two divisions: Operations and Investigations. The Operations Division is responsible for granting, denying, suspending, or revoking certification of peace officers and corrections officers. The Investigations Division provides comprehensive and timely investigations of complaints where necessary, to ensure adherence to law and agency policy, strengthen the integrity and accountability of peace and corrections officers, and maintain public trust and confidence in the criminal justice system in this state. As the Administrative Assistant 4, you will provide administrative support to the Operations and Investigations Division Managers while supervising administrative staff within the Operations Division. In this role, you will help coordinate day-to-day administrative operations, support effective and responsive business processes, and provide leadership, guidance, and mentorship to staff.

Required Qualifications/Experience:
NOTE: Two (2) years of formal education will substitute year-for-year for experience with emphasis on criminal justice, paralegal studies, communication, or political science.
