Louisiana Department of Veterans Affairs is seeking an Administrative Assistant 2 to be the first point of contact, welcoming veterans, visitors and staff, and handling administrative tasks to keep the front office running smoothly. The role reports to a Veterans Cemetery Director.
Ideal candidates will demonstrate strong communication, organization, and adherence to policies, with at least one year of administrative experience.

This position is directly supervised by a Veterans Cemetery Director.

One year of experience in administrative services.
EXPERIENCE SUBSTITUTION: Every 15 semester hours earned from an accredited college or university will substitute for six months of the required experience.

As an Administrative Assistant, you'll help create a positive first impression for every person who walks through our doors.
In this role, you will:
Appointment Type: When Actually Employed (WAE); 1,250 hours within a 12-month period (part-time)
Career Progression: This position does not participate in a Career Progression Group.
Work Schedule: Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday - Friday.
Compensation: The salary offered will be determined based on qualifications and experience.
No Civil Service test score is required in order to be considered for this vacancy.
