Job summary

The Louisiana Veterans Homes in Jackson, LA, is seeking a Part-Time Certified Nursing Assistant 1 to join our nursing team. This WAE position supports admissions, daily patient care, and vital measurements in the nursing department, with alternating shifts (6:00 AM–6:30 PM and 6:00 PM–6:30 AM).

Candidates may have six months of patient-care experience or training, or hold a CNA certificate; RN/PN/MA/EMT program completion is also acceptable. Salary is $15.00 per hour plus shift differentials.

• Possession of a current Certified Nursing Assistant certificate.
• Completion of an accredited Registered Nursing, Practical Nursing, Medical Assistant, or Emergency Medical Technician Program.

Responsibilities

• Assist with documenting the admission of new patients into the medical record.
• Provide care to patients such as ambulating, feeding, bathing, positioning, and lifting.
• Sterilize equipment and supplies.
• Measures temperature, pulse, respiration, blood pressure, height, and weight; records in the patient's medical record.

• Six months of experience or training in patient care; OR

Work Schedule:

Alternating Shifts (6:00 AM to 6:30 PM / 6:00 PM to 6:30 AM). Schedule may vary depending on your availability and need to cover shifts.

Compensation:

Salary offered is $15.00 hourly & Shift Differentials.
