Job summary

Aspris is seeking an Administrator to join our busy administration team at Sedgemoor Manor School. The role is term-time (39 weeks) and 5 days per week, with a focus on efficient financial reporting and front-d desk duties.

You will be a solution-focused team member, capable of prioritising deadlines and maintaining safeguarding and confidentiality. Proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel and Word, is essential along with strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Manage school reception, greet visitors and answer enquiries.
  • Record student attendance and welfare calls as needed.
  • Support finance processes: input invoices, code purchases and cost-control spreadsheets.
  • Raise BACS requests and follow approval procedures.
  • Raise orders and goods receipting; provide general admin support.

Sedgemoor Manor School are recruiting for an Administrator to join our busy and professional administration team. This role will be 5 days per week to be completed during term-time (39 weeks per year).

We are looking for an enthusiastic multitasker, who is highly skilled and proficient in the use of Microsoft office, excel & word. The successful candidate will be a solution focused member of the team and be able to prioritise competing deadlines in a professional manner.

About Us

Sedgemoor Manor School is very different to most schools, set in a calm idyllic site with several buildings for our small teaching groups (maximum 6 pupils) to engage and learn. We are almost at capacity with 100 places for pupils in year 3 through to sixth form. Sedgemoor Manor provides education for autistic children and young people, who are supported in working towards overcoming various challenges. The staff, curriculum, site and experiences here enable them to thrive and achieve excellent accreditation outcomes. Many pupils go onto college and university.

About The Role

This is a varied role and would suit someone who enjoys working in a busy environment, is solution focused, able to prioritise competing deadlines in a professional manner and understands the importance of safeguarding and confidentiality.

This role requires a good working knowledge of finance reporting, with the ability to accurately track, code and report school expenditure. You will support cost control processes to ensure financial records are maintained clearly and accurately.

You will play a key role in the day to day running of the school office, providing a welcoming first point of contact for staff, students, parents and visitors.

Responsibilities Include
  • Managing the school reception, including welcoming visitors, answering the telephone and dealing with enquiries in a helpful manner.
  • Recording student attendance accurately and completing welfare calls to parents/carers where required.
  • Supporting finance processes, including inputting invoices, tracking and coding purchases and maintaining cost control spreadsheets.
  • Raising BACS requests and following the correct approval procedures.
  • Raising orders and goods receipting.
  • Providing general administrative support to the wider school community.
Skills
  • Confident in Microsoft Office, particularly Word and Excel.
  • An understanding of finance reporting.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Able to multitask and remain calm under pressure.
  • Professional, approachable and reliable.
