Administrative Assistant Job Description
  1. Performs a variety of administrative functions.
  2. Composes memos, transcribes notes, researches, and creates presentations. Generates reports, handles multiple projects, and prepares and monitors invoices and expense reports.
  3. May assist with compiling and developing the annual budget. Requires a high school diploma with 2-4 years of experience in the field or in a related area.
  4. Has knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field.
  5. Relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job. Works under general supervision.

Essential Functions
  1. Schedules appointments, gives information to callers, and takes dictation.
  2. Composes memos, transcribes notes, researches, and creates presentations.
  3. Generates reports, handles multiple projects, and prepares and monitors invoices and expense reports.
  4. Assists with Marketing Team to promote Service Line/Health Fairs/Events.
  5. Collects, compiles, and analyzes moderately complex data and information.
  6. Composes straightforward written descriptions of results.
  7. Supports multiple levels of leadership including physicians, Mid-level APPs, directors, managers, supervisors, etc.
Qualifications
  • High School Diploma required
  • 2-year/Associates Degree preferred
  • 2-4 Years of Experience in Providing Administrative/clerical Assistance Preferred
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office products including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures in healthcare.
