The South Bay Workforce Investment Board, Inc. (SBWIB, Inc.) is seeking an energetic, motivated, and dependable individual with excellent customer service and administrative skills to serve as an Administrative Assistant at the Inglewood One Stop. This position will provide front-office assistance to customers, visitors, staff, and community partners while also supporting the Case Management Department with a variety of administrative tasks.
The ideal candidate will demonstrate initiative, manage time effectively with or without direct supervision, and work collaboratively and positively with individuals from diverse professional, cultural, and ethnic backgrounds. The successful candidate must possess good communication, customer service, and organizational skills and be able to remain professional and efficient while managing multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced environment. This position plays an important role in supporting departmental operations and contributing to the organization’s goal achievement.
Under the supervision of the Career Services Center Manager or designee, the Career Services Administrative Assistant will be responsible for, but not limited to, the following duties:
Effective performance in this role requires consistent on-site attendance to provide front-office and administrative support, answer telephone calls, assist walk-in customers, support daily office operations, and respond to the needs of staff, participants, and other stakeholders. The position also requires providing administrative assistance to the Case Management Department under appropriate supervision, including learning departmental workflows and developing proficiency in applicable program, compliance, and documentation requirements. These responsibilities are essential functions of the position and cannot be modified or removed without materially altering the nature of the role. This is a full-time, nonexempt position scheduled to work 40 hours per week. The starting hourly wage is $21.42–$24.45, commensurate with qualifications and experience. SBWIB, Inc. offers a comprehensive employee benefits package that includes an employer contribution of 75% toward employee-only medical, dental, and vision coverage; paid sick leave; vacation leave; paid holidays; and a competitive 401(k) retirement plan. Full-time employees are eligible to participate in the health benefits package after completing 60 days of employment.
As a qualifying nonprofit employer, employment with SBWIB, Inc. may qualify eligible employees for the federal Public Service Loan Forgiveness (PSLF) Program. The U.S. Department of Education determines eligibility for loan forgiveness and is subject to the employee meeting all applicable program requirements.
