Job summary

North Georgia Endo Specialists - Duluth is seeking a Dental Administrative Assistant to support the Practice Manager and keep the office running smoothly. You will coordinate scheduling, handle patient billing and insurance verification, and assist with staff training.

The role requires 3–5 years in an administrative setting (dental preferred), strong communication, HIPAA knowledge, and the ability to work 7:00 AM–4:00 PM Monday–Thursday and 7:00 AM–2:00 PM Friday.

Qualifications

  • 3–5 years in an administrative role, dental preferred.
  • Proficiency with dental practice management software.
  • Excellent communication and patient-centered communication.
  • Knowledge of dental insurance verification, billing and financial processes.
  • Leadership abilities including training administrative staff.
  • Strong HIPAA knowledge and patient confidentiality.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily office operations with the Practice Manager.

  • Address escalated patient concerns to ensure a positive experience.
  • Support onboarding and training of administrative staff.

Our office, North Georgia Endo Specialists - Duluth, is seeking a Dental Administrative Assistant to join our busy specialty practice.

We are seeking a talented and dedicated Dental Administrative Assistant to play a key role in supporting the day-to-day operations of the dental practice. As a vital part of our team, you will assist the Practice Manager in managing administrative tasks, coordinating patient care, and ensuring smooth office operations. Your Responsibilities

As the Dental Administrative Assistant, you will serve as a critical liaison between the clinical staff, administrative team, and patients. Your main responsibilities will include:

  • Assisting the Practice Manager in overseeing daily office operations and maintaining a smooth workflow.
  • Coordinating patient scheduling, appointment confirmations, and follow-up communications.
  • Managing patient billing, insurance verifications, and claims processing, ensuring financial arrangements and collections are handled timely.
  • Addressing and resolving escalated patient concerns to ensure a positive patient experience.
  • Supporting the training and onboarding of administrative staff and providing leadership in the Practice Manager’s absence.
  • Monitoring office performance metrics to identify areas for improvement.
  • Maintaining compliance with healthcare regulations, including HIPAA, and ensuring adherence to office protocols.
  • Collaborating with clinical staff to ensure patient records are accurate and well-maintained.
  • Managing office supplies and vendor relationships as needed.
  • Able to work 5 days a week from 7:00 AM - 4:00 PM (Monday - Thursday) and 7:00 AM - 2:00 PM (Friday)

Your Background

You are an experienced Dental Administrative Assistant with strong organizational skills, a knack for multitasking, and a passion for patient care. In this role, you'll need:

  • 3-5 years experience in an administrative role, dental preferred
  • Proficiency in dental practice management software and patient management systems.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a focus on patient-centered care.
  • Knowledge of dental insurance verification, billing, and financial processes.
  • Strong leadership abilities, including training and mentoring administrative staff.
  • A solid understanding of HIPAA regulations and patient confidentiality protocols.
  • Must be able to sit and stand for extended periods of time.
  • Must be able to operate standard office equipment
  • Must be able to assist patients safely in and out of chairs or treatment areas
  • Must be able to maintain clinical positioning for extended periods
  • Must be able to work around medical equipment and instruments
  • Must be able to adhere to OSHA and infection control standards
  • Must be able to perform repetitive hand and wrist movements
  • Must be able to respond quickly in emergency situations

Position Base Pay Range

$20 - $26 USD
