Automation Personnel Services is looking for a Administrative Assistant for a company based in Bato Rouge, LA. $15.00 per hour
Schedule and Hours
Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm.
Administrative Assistant Duties and Responsibilities
Office Management: Administrative assistants are responsible for managing daily office operations, which includes organizing files, maintaining records, and ensuring that office supplies are stocked and available.
Communication: They handle incoming calls, emails, and correspondence, ensuring that messages are relayed promptly and professionally. This includes greeting visitors and providing them with assistance as needed.
Scheduling and Coordination: Administrative assistants manage calendars, schedule appointments, and coordinate meetings for managers and other staff members. This often involves making travel arrangements and preparing itineraries.
Document Preparation: They prepare reports, memos, and other documents, ensuring that all materials are accurate and well-organized. This may also include data entry and maintaining databases.
Support for Staff: Administrative assistants provide support to managers and employees, helping with various tasks to enhance productivity and efficiency within the office. This can include assisting with project management and tracking deadlines.
Administrative Assistant Qualifications and Requirements
A high school diploma
Prior experience in administrative roles, internships
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access) is essential.
Some administrative roles may require customer service skills, such as answering phones and greeting clients.
