This is a Bargaining, non-exempt, grade 19 position. Fornon-exempt positions, you are not eligible to work a secondary jobat Montgomery College. This position is eligible for telework (1)day a week after probation period. Telework eligibility and totaldays per week are subject to change based on the operational needsof the applicable unit/area. Montgomery College does not currentlyoffer voluntary remote work or withhold payroll taxes for statesoutside of its tax reciprocity agreements. As a result, employeesmust reside in, and perform any approved telework from Maryland,Washington, DC, Virginia, West Virginia, Delaware, or Pennsylvania.Employees residing in other states at the time of hire are noteligible for telework until they have secured a permanent residencein one of the states listed above.

The work involves providing administrative, technical, and supportservices to an academic or administrative unit and facilitating the administrative procedures related to the programs and servicesoffered by the office.
Responsible for organizing and carrying out assigned officeactivities to include department events. Assigned administrativesupport tasks involve technical decisions regarding processing ofactions (i.e., budget, personnel, purchasing); researchinginformation in the files and providing the results to thesupervisor; and/or, maintenance of unit financial records and webpage(s).
The incumbent in this position communicates with others throughoutthe College and external entities to obtain and provideinformation, arranges appointments and staff schedules andorganizes office routines; and speaks for the supervisor on matterson which the supervisor’s views are known, or as otherwiseauthorized.
$23.05 – $28.81 hourly. Initial salaryplacement for new hires falls between the minimum and midpoint ofthe range and is based on relevant candidate experience andinternal equity. The maximum salary for this position is $34.57hourly.
