About the Opportunity

JOB SUMMARY: Northeastern University’s Electrical & Computer Engineering Department seeks a proactive and organized Administrative Access Assistant to support Dr. Kevin Fu, a Professor of Electrical & Computer Engineering who has a dexterity impairment affecting his ability to use a mouse and perform precise pointer-based tasks. This role is crucial for coordinating Professor Fu’s daily activities and ensuring his work environment is accessible. Primary activities include managing correspondence, schedules, and an accessible work environment. Occasional travel may be required.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Associate’s Degree Required; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • High standards for accuracy and thoroughness in areas of responsibility.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to multitask and problem-solve.
  • Basic financial tracking and bookkeeping skills are a plus.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team.

    • Support setup and use of assistive technology and keyboard-based tools to reduce reliance on mouse-dependent workflows.

Compensation

Grade/Pay Type: 106H Expected Hiring Range: $23.37 - $32.14. With the pay range(s) shown above, the starting salary will depend on several factors, which may include your education, experience, location, knowledge and expertise, and skills as well as a pay comparison to similarly-situated employees already in the role. Salary ranges are reviewed regularly and are subject to change.
