The UNC Lineberger Comprehensive Cancer Center, founded in 1975, is a National Cancer Institute (NCI)-designated comprehensive cancer center. The Center’s mission is to reduce cancer occurrence and death in North Carolina and the nation through research, treatment, training, and outreach.
This Administrative Support Specialist position will perform a variety of business functions to address the needs of the Carolina Cancer Screening Initiative (CCSI). They will provide administrative and logistical support for CCSI leadership (calendar support, CV & biosketch maintenance, and program product tracking). They will also lead the planning and execution of meetings and small events. This role will support communication efforts, such as website updates, social media, and dissemination of program information. They will manage CCSI travel arrangements, procurement, and supplies. Additionally, this role will assist with grant proposal submissions, manuscript preparation, and research-related documentation.
High school diploma or equivalency and one year of related office experience; or equivalent combination of training and experience.
Highly organized, detail-oriented, able to prioritize tasks based on project needs, and capable of working independently while collaborating effectively across interdisciplinary teams.
Microsoft Office experience (Teams, Word, Outlook, etc.).
