Job summary

The Greene County Health Department is seeking a qualified candidate to provide administrative support for health department programs, including WIC and Environmental Health. The ideal candidate will perform a variety of clerical duties while delivering exceptional customer service to clients and visitors.

High school diploma/GED and two years of general office or administrative experience are required; preferred qualifications include previous medical or healthcare office experience and

Responsibilities

  • Perform WIC registration and other clerical duties in support of health department programs.
  • Provide clerical and administrative support for Environmental Health services.
  • Assist with applications, maintain records and files, data entry, and providing general information to customers.
  • Enter and maintain accurate data and records.
  • Maintain detailed filing and recordkeeping systems.
  • Provide excellent customer service to clients, staff, and the public.
  • Conduct client interviews and communicate effectively with diverse populations.
  • Demonstrate strong reading comprehension, attention to detail, and numerical accuracy.
  • Utilize computer systems and office software efficiently.
  • Perform other duties as assigned in support of management and staff.
