Job summary

BRC is seeking an administrative assistant to support staff in a dynamic nonprofit environment in New York. The role involves answering the main phone system, typing correspondence, preparing reports and schedules, and maintaining filing systems.

The ideal candidate has at least two years of secretarial experience or an associated degree, strong interpersonal and customer service skills, and proficiency with MS Word and Excel. Vaccination is preferred but not required.

Job description

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

Provide administrative and clerical support to staff in order to facilitate the efficient operation of the program. Primary functions will include: answering main phone system, typing correspondence, preparing specialized reports and schedules, and maintaining appropriate filing systems. Fire Safety and First Aid/CPR certification or the ability to pass test to acquire these credentials required. Related duties as assigned.

HOURS:

Full-time 37.5 hours per week

  • Monday-Friday 10am-6:30pm
QUALIFICATIONS:

At least two years experience performing secretarial and administrative functions, in an office setting, or at least two years of college/ Associates degree in related discipline. Strong interpersonal and customer service skills. Good organizational skills and the ability to work in a non-conventional office environment. Have knowledge of MS office systems, Word and Excel.
