Job Summary And Qualifications

The Adjunctive Therapist provides the core of programming by facilitating therapeutic individual and group sessions offered to the patients. The Adjunctive Therapist’s responsibilities include individual/group sessions daily focusing on coping skills, socialization, and activities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Recreation Therapy, Music Therapy or Master’s Degree in Art Therapy are required
• Certification as specified below:
  • Music Therapist:
    • Board Certified Music Therapist (MT-BC)—passed the national board certification exam
  • Art Therapist:
    • Registered Art Therapist (ART)
    • Art Therapist Registered-Board Certified (ART-BC)
    • Licensed Professional Art Therapist
  • Recreational Therapist certification within 90 days of hire.
    • Therapeutic Recreation Certification
    • National Council for Therapeutic Recreation Certification (NCTRC)
    • Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist (CTRS)
• BLS required upon hire
• CPI within 90 days of hire
