Job summary

Lifeways, Inc. in Boise, Idaho seeks a qualified therapist to help patients restore motor, social, and cognitive functioning and to oversee group activities with trained staff. The role emphasizes documenting attendance and participation and delivering early Activities Therapy Assessments.

The position requires a Master's or a qualifying Bachelor's with CTRS, licensure or timely acquisition, strong communication skills, and a valid driver's license. Background checks are mandatory.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in social work, behavioral health, art therapy, or closely related field.
• State licensure is required or must be obtained within 90 days of employment.
• OR Bachelor's degree in therapeutic recreation, psychology, social work, or related field with CTRS certification.
• Must communicate effectively in both oral and written forms.
• Current driver's license.
• Must pass a criminal background check.

Responsibilities

• Work with patients to restore motor, social, and cognitive functioning.
• Increase patients' self-confidence in symptom management by educating patients on coping skills and community integration.
• Oversee group and meeting activities to ensure they are conducted by qualified and trained staff.
• Conduct Activities Therapy Assessments within 24 hours of admission.
• Document each patient's daily group attendance and level of participation.

• Oversee group and meeting activities to ensure they are conducted by qualified and trained staff.
• Conduct Activities Therapy Assessments within 24 hours of admission.
• Document each patient's daily group attendance and level of participation.

Required Qualifications

• Master's degree in social work, behavioral health, art therapy, or closely related field.
• State Licensure is required or must be obtained within 90 days of employment, if not obtained position will be forfeited.
• OR Bachelor's degree in therapeutic recreation, psychology, social work, or related field along with a Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist (CTRS) certification
