Saint Leo University is seeking qualified adjuncts in theology and religion to support course offerings in the Saint Leo, Florida area. Candidates with graduate-level backgrounds in world religions, Hebrew scriptures, New Testament, Catholic theology, or moral theology are welcome for REL courses.

Appointments are made term-by-term based on enrollment and department needs. Applicants should hold a Master’s degree in Theology or Religious Studies.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Theology or Religious Studies required.
• Graduate-level background in world religions and/or comparative theology.
• Ability to teach REL 223, REL 115, REL 125, REL 215 as needed.

Responsibilities

• Teach assigned courses as contracted and provide course materials.
• Submit final grades within three days after the term ends.
• Deliver course content as outlined in the master syllabus and directed by the dean or chair.
• Maintain online office hours and be available to students.

Job Description SummarySaint Leo University is currently seeking qualified candidates in the Saint Leo, Florida area for our adjunct availability pool in theology and religion. In particular, we are looking for candidates with graduate-level backgrounds in any of the following areas: World religions and/or comparative theology (for REL 223: Religions of the World course) Hebrew scriptures and/or New Testament (for REL 115: Introduction to Scripture) Catholic theology and/or philosophy (for REL 125: Faith and Reason) Moral theology and/or religious ethics (for REL 215: Religious Ethics of War and Peace)Job DescriptionQualified applicants, transcripts, and materials will be reviewed and processed in preparation for assignment-based student enrollment needs for upcoming terms. Select adjuncts from the pool are contracted term-by-term based on course/section need and availability. Those hired will be considered for graduate teaching and graduate course development as needed. Typical job expectations are: Teach assigned courses as contracted.
