Job summary

Saint Leo University seeks qualified adjuncts with terminal Theology degrees to develop and teach courses in our MA Theology program. Courses span Hebrew Scriptures, Christian Scriptures, worship and liturgy, ethics, history, ecclesiology, and spirituality, delivered via Canvas with live and recorded sessions.

Applicants submit transcripts, CV, teaching philosophy, and references for consideration. Adjuncts teach contracted courses, deliver course materials per the syllabus, submit grades

Qualifications

  • Terminal degree in theology from a regionally accredited institution.
  • Experience teaching theology in an undergraduate or graduate setting is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Teach assigned MA Theology courses (Hebrew Scriptures through Christology) as contracted.
  • Develop and deliver Canvas-based modules with synchronous and asynchronous components.
  • Prepare course materials, assessments, and engage with students for meaningful learning.
  • Submit final grades within the term's required timeframe and participate in routine course revisions.

Job Description SummarySaint Leo University is current seeking qualified candidates with terminal degrees in Theology to develop courses in our MA Theology program. Qualified applicants, transcripts, and materials will be reviewed and processed in preparation for assignment-based student enrollment needs for upcoming terms. Select adjuncts from the pool are contracted term-by-term based on course/section need and availability. Saint Leo University reserves the right to not schedule and/or cancel courses based on enrollment.Applications are processed upon the receipt of all official transcripts while the posting is active.Job Description As a normal part of program review, our current courses are in need of innovative and thoughtful revision. The core courses in the program are:Hebrew Scriptures: History and TheologyChristian Scriptures: History and TheologyWorship, Sacraments, and LiturgyChristian Ethics I: FoundationsHistory of ChristianityEcclesiologyChristian Spirituality : History and PraxisChristologyCourses are developed and delivered in Canvas. Courses are typically organized into 8 two-week modules and include both synchronous (live sessions) and asynchronous (readings, assignments, discussions, activities, and recorded lectures) components. The instructor would be responsible for developing all these components.In addition to resume, the following documents are required for consideration.
